Like the first poster said, it's oil, and oil was made from dinosaurs and other decomposed prehistoric animals who were cruelly killed by some natural disasters some millions of years ago...

If I were concerned about it being vegan though, oil production rapes the land, so if you're a-ok with that sort of abuse then you're just fine to use it.

I suppose if you want to get anal about it, it's not. It's a petroleum product which is derived from oil, a byproduct of decomposed and fossilized prehistoric animals.
