  1. depends on what kind of broth you use if you use a broth made from meat then no if you use a veg broth then yes

  2. Here is the cardinal rule of veganism: READ THE LABEL

    Seriously.  Read the label.

  3. most store bought ones like cambells or pregresso mostly use a beef or chicken broth.

what i like to do. is get vegetable bouillon cubes and tiny star pastina and make my own soup. maybe add some vegetables to it. it tastes VERY good!

  4. Campbell's brand is not. All of their cans say on the front "Made with beef stock".

Vegetable soup could certainly be vegan if you made it yourself but there are also canned varieties which contain no animal products.

  5. Ok, lets start with what vegan means: "a philosophy and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose." (Wikipedia)

if your Veggi soup has any ingrediend that violates that concept is not a vegan soup.

  6. Some is!

If you get it fresh from the bakery counter at like, Safeway or a grocery store, it could be made with chicken stock.

Canned veggie soup - some is! You just have to check the label.

  7. Canned, most likely not unless specified as vegan.

here's a recipe if you are interested  I think it's vegan but I am not sure:

    4 tablespoons olive oil

2 cups chopped leeks, white part only (from approximately 3 medium leeks)

    2 tablespoons finely minced garlic

    Kosher salt

2 cups carrots, peeled and chopped into rounds (approximately 2 medium)

2 cups peeled and diced potatoes

2 cups fresh green beans, broken or cut into 3/4-inch pieces

    2 quarts vegetable broth

4 cups peeled, seeded, and chopped tomatoes

    2 ears corn, kernels removed

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 cup packed, chopped fresh parsley leaves

1 to 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice

Heat the olive oil in large, heavy-bottomed stockpot over medium-low heat. Once hot, add the leeks, garlic, and a pinch of salt and sweat until they begin to soften, approximately 7 to 8 minutes. Add the carrots, potatoes, and green beans and continue to cook for 4 to 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the stock, increase the heat to high, and bring to a simmer. Once simmering, add the tomatoes, corn kernels, and pepper. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook until the vegetables are fork tender, approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add the parsley and lemon juice. Season, to taste, with kosher salt. Serve immediately.

  8. not campbell's!

    It's vegetarian though.

  9. well,, weh nyou go to the store to buy some,, THEN check the lable, and if theres no animal products i.e. milk, egg

    then yes..it is vegan.

  10. Cambells vegetable soup is made from beef broth.  Cambells does have a Vegetarian Vegetable Soup!  I once ordered vegetable soup in a restaurant.. and it had chunks of meat in it!  It was called Vegetable Chunky..  I thought Chunky ment chunky vegetables but it ment chunks of meat.  How was I to know that?   Well to be on the safe side now I always get Vegetarian Vegetable.  Most canned soups do contain dairy milk so it isn't Vegan as Vegans don't have anything that comes from animals! You can buy Vegan soups at many health food stores!

  11. Depends... read the ingredients.
