  1. Give the plant some fertilzer!  Something heavy with nitrogen so its green can come back.

  2. I'm glad you asked that question, because about a week ago

I noticed the leaves on one of my petunia plants were turning

yellow.  Then I realized we had some heavy rain earlier in the

week and the saucer under the planter was full of water.  I

think they were drowning!  So I pulled the saucer out from

under it and emptied it and I'm not going to water it for awhile

and see what happens.  Some potting soils you buy have

something in them that helps retain moisture and if you

get  heavy rains,  the soil seems to stay too moist.

See if that's what it is.

  3. YUP!  it is normal ONLY because people don't know just how HUNGRY petunias are.

Pale foliage is petunia starvation and normally most people are guilty of it!

SO increase the feed, and cut back the ends of the plant some what and let it regrow.

Normally it will soon feel better and so will you!

  4. get some flowering plant fertilizer

  5. no

  6. No, The color should be a medium to dark green.

Likely cause #1.Nitrogen is the part of the fertilizer (the first number) that contributes to greener foliage.

    2. But it may not necessarily be a fertilizer problem. Could also be wet soil.

    3. Less likely, but could also be the ph of the soil. If extreme one way or the other, the nutrients will be chemically frozen in the soil, unavailable to the plant.

    4. And, if in a contained and root bound, could be drying out too severely between waterings.
