Question:

Is vinegar a safe cleaner for a reglazed bathtub?

In my old house the tub was porcelain, and I used to fill the tub with hot water and some vinegar and let it soak for an hour. All the grime would just melt away. Now I have moved and the tub is reglazed. Can I still use vinegar to clean it? I was told not to use bleach or abrasive cleaners.

  1. Yes, vinegar is safe for reglazed tubs.  Just make sure not to use any abrasive cleaners on it, which vinegar definitely is not.

  2. Vinegar is safe for all surfaces, old and new, glazed and unglazed Good Luck !

  3. Vinegar is an all around general purpose cleaner and is safe for anything.  You can use it to clean out coffee makers as well as use it instead of fabric softener in your washer.  I have been using vinegar as my fabric softner for over two years now.  Very economical too!

  4. yes you can but use the white vinegar just in case a small amount of colour transfer happens....................................
