Is vitamin water vegan???

omg i just found out that some drinks aren't vegan!! is vitamin water vegan? what drinks r????

Most non-vegan drinks are sodas or soft drinks.

vitamin water contains refined white sugar which is very often not vegan due to the refining process of refined white sugar. (you can research the science of this process more online; this is what wikipedia has to say about the process:  

"The sugar refining industry often uses bone char (calcinated animal bones) for decolorizing.[14][15] This may concern some vegans and vegetarians; about a quarter of the sugar in the U.S. gets processed using bone char as a filter and the rest gets processed with activated carbon. As bone char does not get into the sugar, the relevant authorities consider sugar processed this way as parve/kosher.[15]

Vegetarians and vegans may also object to the impact that the burning of the cane fields (a common part of the harvesting practice) has on insects, rats, snakes, and other life residing in the fields.[16]"

if coca cola manufacturing plants use refined white sugar from bone char, then your vitamin water is not vegan.

you can buy natural sodas, juices, and water of course to be vegan safe and friendly...as well as healthy! (if you don't mind me nagging a bit, vitamin water is full of empty calories and sugars that are bad for you anyway.)

i believe vitamin water is vegan, but it does have alot of calories in it, i reccomend regular bottled water.
