Is volleyball a contact sport?

I'm joining the volleyball team in my school, and i need to get a physical. The doctor said that theres something screwed up in my body so that i can't do contact sports until further examinations. Is volleyball a contact sport? Thanks!!

Volleyball is only a contact sport if you call a stort that you contact the floor and the ball a contact sport. Lol

I think you should be fine playing volley ball, you dont really have physical contact with the other team while playing, so no, i dont think its a contact sport

it can be, there isn't contact with the opposing team but i have hit my players on multiple occasions, and i have hit the floor a million times but you would have to ask your doctor about that.

i dont think so. it's not allowed to run into or touch anyone on the opposing team, but sometimes people on the same team do wind up running into each other or the floor.  the best thing to do is ask your doctor for a list of sports you can and cannot do.
