Is volleyball a good sport to start?

YES, DEFINITLY GO OUT FOR THE TEAM.  ONCE YOU START PRACTICING FOR IT YOU'LL GET HOOKED ON IT.  MY WHOLE TEAM LOVED IT SO MUCH IN SEVENTH GRADE SO WE ASKED IT OUR COACH WOULD EITHER HOLD PRACTICES OVER THE ENTIRE WEEKEND OR JUST COME AND OPEN THE DOORS FOR US.  AND WE DIDN'T HAVE THE LIGHTEST PRACTICES EITHER!!!!!!!!!

VOLLEYBALL IS AWESOME...

Have played for 4 years on a school team and also play club ball.

Vball is not as taxing as basketball if u aren't as energized as some people.

if u end up luving it like me...there are plenty of clubs all over that u could tryout for...

Yeah! i have been playing for 8 years and i LOVE it!! It does not take alot of running skill but it is always a great work out and so much fun. It builds team work and is a great way to make friends. Go for it!

I PLAYED VOLLEYBALL SINCE 6TH GRADE AND I WOULD NEVER TAKE IT BACK! PLUS, YOU MEET A LOT OF CUTE GUYS AFTER SCHOOL! THEY LIKE GIRLS IN SPORTS! LOL

yes its so fun and good excersize it keeps you heathy and athletic work at it my sisters friend plays it and is so skinny and athletic so much energy to it really keep you heathy dont give up dont be a sore loser keep trying

I play.  I never could figure out what sport to do nd played this in school and got hooked.  I play all of the time now.  If you really love the sport go for it and try out!  Wha could it hurt?  I mean if you like it go and play.  Just know that even if it is inside it is hard work and a great way to get excercise.  Gives you something to do at least.  Everyone I know who plays love it and those who don't still enjoy to play!!!!!

i didnt want to start when i started in 6th grade, but after my first practice i L-O-V-E-D it! lol i seriously recommend it. it is the best sport!

My sister played volleyball and she loved it. She was tall and did very well. It is not the most popular and recognized sport but it requires a lot of speed and exemplary reflex reactions to be really good. It is truly a team sport.

i love it more than anything...its hard at first when you are just learning but go to a game or watch one on tv and you should get interested in it right away. its very fun and especially fun to watch
