  1. Volleyball requires the person to focus the ball on certain parts of the hands/ arms, so you would need strong leg muscles to push you up for contact with the ball, and strong arm muscles to hit the ball overhand in a serve. Underhand passing is easy to master, overhand passing is a little bit trickier, spikes require A LOT of force and good contact with the hand, and overhand serves require a lot of arm strength in order to get it over the net. I'd have to say that Volleyball is a tough sport, but you are rewarded for the determination it takes =D

  2. volleyball my seem hard but its not really that hard it may be had at first but once you get the skills down and go to practices you get realy good at them and if you want to try volleyball before you try out for a team look for a volleyball camp that you can attend

  3. Nah..it isn't. It's a lot more easier than basketball. But volleyball really takes determination, coordination, your arm strength, your leg strength (To move for the ball), and your attention.

Have fun playing volleyball, I'm sure you'll like it :]

  4. no its very easy

  5. well, you have to have alot of mental toughness.

also it depends on how cordinated you are.

  6. it takes work and determination let me tell you it can get hard at times when you 1st begin but don't worry! go for it and if it's not for you then at least you tried and experienced it but it is really fun and i would recommened you to tryout!

  7. It's a lot of endurance, but anyone could do it if they set their mind to it.

  8. volleyball is not hard once you play for a while. I play and I love it!! It is really fun but if you dont do it right sometimes it hurts

  9. no its not hard once you learn how to... just ask a friend that plays volleyball to help you, watch videos on you tube, or go on sportskool.com or some website like that.. click on volleyball or misty may and they have some volleyball techniques you can use in a game.

ask the volleyball coach at your school who offers a volleyball camp or clinic

  10. it really depends on what grade your in. if your in elem-middle school...then the level of intensity is going to be much less than if you're in high school and just now trying out. if you are anywhere near 4-8 grade, then you shouldnt have much trouble trying out unless you've got a killer team at your school. the idea of elem and middle school vb teams is to get you ready for the high school. if you are in high school and want to tryout, you better be in great shape and have a little bit of natural talent. also, if this is your first year ever playing, i would suggest playing club ball. it helps so much w/ your playing ability and your skills,... but yeah, so i hope i helped a little... you cant really say yes or no to your question b/c to some people it is really hard, but to others it comes so easy.

  11. no it's not, but you defentily need arm strength, for serving, and leg strength for standing on your toes. just get ready to work out!

  12. Yes, volleyball takes more time than people think. It is not just a "standing around sport" AT ALL. There is a lot of strategy involved in the game. You have to have the right mindset, aggressiveness, all over body strength... it is not just a sport you can go out a be good at. The volleyball in gym class is NOTHING compared to competitive club volleyball. If you have not started I would def. reccomend passing as your key skill. If i could start volleyball all over again, i would master passing.
