  1. no, you get much more control, and you go slower, so when you fall, doesnt hurt as bad

  2. yes. one foot instead of 2.

The surface and control is different too!

  3. neither try a meow board

  4. the learning curves are different. On skis you start on 2 skis then progress to one ski pretty easilly. to really get good from there takes a lot of practice. it is very precise. wakeboarding, you get up, learn to cross the wake, jump the wake. if you try to read up on how to improve most things say "do what ever feels right". I think it's pretty easy to go wake to wake, add grabs, adding 180's, surface slides.... until you get to really big air it's easy. I know so many people that can't do hardly anything, but can do flips of different varities. also, the speeds are so much slower for wakeboarding what needs to be done seems I have a ton of time to think about it. with water skiing, from the middle of the wake on an aggressive pull , to after the 2nd wake, the speeds go from 10 MPH to 60 MPH in a matter of feet. no room for error there.

  5. yes, it's different body mechanics.  try wakesurfing first, and it will make getting up on the wakeboard a bit easier.

  6. you bet it is i water ski and wakeboard and not unless you want to take some serious wipe outs dont try it

  7. yes its a whole lot harder believe me iv done both

  8. Yes. You can jump and spin. That can be pretty hard. It is also a little harder to get up.

  9. Wakeboarding is probably more easy to get up on and progress then a water ski. There is more surface area and you are traveling slower.

Keep your back foot as close to your back side as possible when getting up. Arms straight, chest up. Take off cutting slightly in the direction off your front foot.
