Is washing a child's mouth out with soap for repeated use of bad words considered child abuse?

I wouldn't speak for all people, first poster.  I grew up hating my father for doing things like that.  It made me lash out even more.

ya im sure they put those things on the box and bottle because its safe to stick in your childrens mouth.

If you can't control your kids thats your fault.
