  1. Waste water treatment plants clean water from toilets, etc.

'Greywater' (from sinks, like washing hands) also goes there but can be used for watering the lawn, etc.

The ground 'filters' the 'waste' from the water once it's cleaned (where need be); the 'waste' decomposes the same way a banana peel will, just at a different rate.

Aquifers (underground rivers) then allow the water to move from here to there.

  2. No, I remember one biology class where we purified waste water. I don't think any new water is made on Earth. It just keeps evaporating and going back to our oceans.

  3. Hello Jasmine B. I think most communities in the United States of America have sewage treatment facilities. I know some communities have discussed the idea of 'recycling' treated wastewaters. claiming the treated wastewater was 'cleaner' than fresh water.. I'm unable to tell you what happens to "all the earth's wastewater" as different communities, different states, different countries have different regulations! I know SA N D I E G O  has a huge pipe that goes way out into the pacific ocean.. BUT solid and fluids are treated first before expelling them into the vastness of the Pacific Ocean. When will Mankind realize that _-NOTHING-_ disappears on this planet! It is a closed system!

They bury nuclear waste in concrete blocks deep in the  earth so as not to affect anyone..

I hope I've answered your question sufficiantly!

  4. There are a few factors dealing with water. A large one being evaporation and the whole water process. The quick definition is that the water will evaporate into the atmosphere and later come down as rain. Evaporation removes the waste from the water. Often the minerals and such left behind are good for crops which is why some places benefit greatly from yearly floods, such as in Egypt on the Nile.

Another thing is bacteria. Just like leaving vegetation in a pile will eventually turn into dirt, things in water can decompose due to bacteria.

  5. Wastewater goes to a wastewater treatment plant where it goes through three stage of treatment before being released back into the water supply.
