since water can be processed ie New Water, distributed, imported, exported etc, can it then be considered as goods/commodities?

  1. Water has always been considered as a good - both as a final good of consumption availaable free in the olden days as also an intermediate good in industrial manufacturing. Nowadays water is priced: you pay water charges just like electricity charges based on meters reading the drwal or consumption of water supplied by utilities to households, businss offices, shops, malls, and factories. Drinking water is available in bottles for ready purchses. Some of these drinking water are purified and added with minerals and are periced accordingly. Heavy water for the use of nuclear power plants are traded across the borders and shipped in vessels. So water is a good as understood in economics.
