Is water down apple juice healthy for my parakeets and finch?

you have to be careful. they can eat apples! but juice has such a horribley high amount of sugar.  they really should have it.  birds are better off eating the real thing, just stay away from things high in acid too!!!!

Too much water can give your birds loose stools. And I wouldn't give them any juice. I'm not sure what the sugar content in most juices would do to them. You're better off with portions regular fruit or dried fruit. You can also give them special seeds specifically sold for bird treats. You can find these at almost any pet store.

I would be very careful doing this. Too much water can cause loose droppings. You must also be concerned over what exactly is in the juice. You are better off giving your parakeets and finches the dried fruit toppings that are made especially for the birds.  I don't give apple or fruit juices to any in my aviary for this reason. The juice would upset their digestion and this is not a natural way for them to have their fruits. The fiber in the raw form is much better for them.
