  1. water isnt wet, and it doesnt have the ability to make wet.  Wet is how we describe water being attached to the things it touches. So , water is unaware of all this, we humans made it up, like we always do.


  2. Like the guy said before, wet is just how we describe the interaction of liquids with solids.

    In more chemical terms, it's describing the various bonds that help keep water attached to things (polarity, hydrogen bonds, van der walls forces, etc.) Do not confuse this with chemical bonding, these are all weak forces that give water its properties (like when you notice you can put about 30 drops of water on a penny, or actually fill your glass to about 101% full without spilling over.)
