Is water softener better then hard water?

i am just a little curious is hard water better then having a water softener or having a softener better then using hard water?

You will also get a build up of the minerals in your hair causing it to be dull and flat.

YES OMG!!!  I am used to softwater now so its whenever I am somewhere that doesn't have it taking a shower I can tell a MAJOR difference....soft water is soo much better!  You also need less soap and shampoo with softwater.

If you get a water softener, you'll never want to be without it again.  Less detergent and soap needed (like, 75% less!), feels better on your skin and hair, clothes come out cleaner & brighter.  Get one with an automatic feeder.

Hard water is extremely high in minerals and that can lead to problems with appliances,  THey say hard water is good for you to drink because of the extra minerals.  I personally think that the hard water damage is a good argument against it.

Difinately a water is better than hard water. I had hard water almost all my life. hard water can cause alot of problems. like, corrosion of the focets and all plubing and if there's iron in like most of the time it will ruin your shower and also your clothes , I knew a lady who had to fill the washer first than put her clothes in because if she did it the oppisit way she would get iron or rust on the clothes. it's also hard on your hair. you need more shampoo and sometimes its good to rinse your hair in a solution of vinigar and water to cut iron. enough? now do you think hard water is good?   April
