  1. I've always heard if the hair is light or clear don't bother it it will get dark and coarse.  But if it is already dark and coarse remove it.  I have sensitive skin and waxing there causes bumps on me so I use a product like Nair for face, they have one in an applicator tube just for upper lips I like.  Just put it on wait 8 minutes and wipe away. No pain and that little tube is about $5 and lasts me like a year.

  2. i'd recommend bleaching--i use the sally hansen face bleach and it works really well. also, if it comes out too light (which means you've left the solution on too long) then you can always pluck/wax and try it again.

  3. I honestly recommend threading. It's so much better for your skin. It doesnt make your hair grow back all black and yucky. It makes your upperlip all smoothe too.

  4. No, hair will not grow darker, in fact the more you wax the hair becomes thiner and may eventually not grow back in.  If you have sensitive skin make sure wax for sensitive skin is used on your skin. Waxing may cause redness but this is temporary. Make sure you go to a professional, waxing may cause damage if not done correctly.

  5. i do think it is worth it. of course, it will grow back, but only in a couple of weeks. if you're as sensitive as i am, you should definitely use baby oil or baby powder before/after waxing.

you can also use a bleach, so you wouldnt have to rip any hair out. its your hair, and you can do whatever you'd like.

i do think that waxing hurts, but i believe that its worth it!

    hope i helped! :)

  6. it would be red for about an hour

  7. I have super sensitive skin, and I don't really have a problem when I wax. It is red for a little while (afew hours), so I just do it at night before I go to bed and I put aloe on it after, but other than that it doesn't bother my skin. Bleaching on the other hand is terrible and harsh on sensitive skin, at least in my experiance. It doesn't grow back super dark or anything, and I only wax like once a month and it looks fine, so its not like its incredibly inconvienent.

  8. Waxing and tweezing was the worst thing I ever did. It def. grew back darker and thicker for me. Honestly, I wish I would have *just* bleached (& done nothing else) from the beginning. Of course, hair and skin varies with every person. I can just speak on my behalf. I, too, have sensitive skin. I would say your best bet is bleach and trim so that its blonde and barely there. Good luck!

  9. NO! just shave it! no pain and you can do it any time!

THEY ALL HURT, THREAT, TWEESE, WAX!

  10. I just waxed my upper lip for the first time like an hour ago, I wish I hadn't done it, now my lip is all swollen, and I don't want anybody to see it, I'm really freaked out rite now, some people said it'll go away in a few daays! I can't wait that long without anybody seeing it! wtf!! don't do it!!!!! my mistake!! I know I'm a top Contributor, but sometimes I do really stupid stuff!!! Just bleach it instead. Now I'm tryna make a face mask so no one will see it and I also put ice on it.

    EDIT**

Wow, I just looked in the mirror and it actually cleared up a bit, I was so freaked out. NVM, do it if you don't have sensitive skin.

    EDIT**

Okay, all of it cleared up, and it only took from 30 min- 1hour, okay, so its different for everyone, if you wax your legs and they clear up fast, then you should wax your upper lip too. Matt is right.
