Is wearing colored contact lenses bad for your eyes.?

Colored contacts are not 'bad' for your eyes - otherwise they would've have them on the market.  They are not made as oxygen permeable as some of the other ones, so many ppl find that their eyes are a little dryer w/ colored contacts.  You still have to take good care of them and clean them daily and throw them away when their time is up.

They're the same as wearing clear lenses.   Your doctor's a quack.

As long as they fit correctly and are taken care of right , they are no more dangerous than any other lenses.

However , those youngsters who want them with no prescription in them , just for the  "look " do tend to abuse them more by not following the important hygiene rules.

My doctor hasn't said anything the only difference is that your eyes changes colors, and you still see the same as if it was clear lenses.

Our optometrist strongly advises against them. My daughter wanted some and he told her than can do terrible damage to your eyes and vision. JMO
