Is weed killer flammable?

i want to put weed killer on my lawn today but am having a bonfire tonight, am a little worried incase its flammable and a spark burns my garden to the ground?! can any one advise....also got a dog, is weed killer gona do him any harm....havnt actually bought any yet, am just asking in advance...thanx

  1. All weed killer sold in the UK must, by law, be flame retardant.

    Your dog is another matter, yes he will be in danger, keep him well away weed killer is poisonous.


  2. You can make bombs from it so I would have thought so.

  3. Sodium Chlorate is flammable. Other weedkillers are not.

Simple idea, spray a little on the pavement outside then put a lighter to it, you wont burn yourself as this is coming from a pyro (me) - If it lights, then bad idea.   If not?   Go buy marshmellows.     Chances are after a while it will not light, I mean when I put aftershave on it is flammable, but i spark up a cig right after and hey!  No burnt lips lol

  5. I'm not quite sure, but why don't you avoid putting it in today, and put it in tomorrow after the bonfire? That way you won't be stressed out and worried about what could happen. Also, when you do go out and purchase the weed killer, make sure to ask someone who works at the store about the harm it can have on your dog, and also its flammability.
