Is well water better than city water?

i drink well (underground) water and i think that it is tastes better than city water. what do u think?

Back in the day but now with some much going on well water is best treated in your home like with a distiller or filter.

i prefer city water of the two choices, but i generally just drink water that has been purified with my Brita water filter.

Yes.  And no.  Actually in Washington most of the city water tasted good, especially in the smaller towns.  Here in AZ it tastes like dirt.

A well can be just as contaminated as city water- even more so!- and the government isn't there to do constant safety tests.  On the other hand, your well water comes straight from the source through much less pipes, and the city doesn't add chlorine (the active ingredient of bleach, for killing bugs) or Fluoride (a poison which is good for your teeth, but not all that good to swallow.  

So if your well water tastes better, then test it regularly and use plenty of fluoride toothpaste.  

And geez, I loved the water that came from my Grandpa's well.   Drank it like soda pop, probably would keep drinking till I drowned.

It depends on where you live.  If you have been drinking well water your whole life that is what is water to you.  But really well water is disgusting.  I mean if it turns your shower and toilet rusty imagine what your putting in your body!  Ick!

ive have heard things about city water that make my spine tingle

same with well water

test your city water then test your well water (or in either case a neighbors) and decide which one is best for you

and also fluoride is starting to get some bad things said about it which is why fluoride free toothpaste is starting to become popular on the market

There is usually Fluoride in City water which is good for your teeth, that is one of the reason's people don't drink well water.

it tastes better because it has impurities. careful you don't get a tapeworm or something.
