  1. i thought the same. weird! we must have far too much time on our hands!!

  2. nope.

i actually saw them putting the raw meat, on the grill.

    i was pretty close too.

you could tell it wasn't frozen.

    :)

  3. Yep never frozen!!

No clue on why it is square though.

  4. I think it would vary between each restaurant as far as where they store their hamburger. I know that it shouldn't be if they advertise that it is never frozen (I know it's not at our Wendy's for a 100% fact) but I'm sure some locations do probably cook frozen meat which i think is gross no matter what place it is at.

  5. I wondered the same yesterday. I don't know if they're never frozen, but I always thought that packed square patties use more space for meat and less for air ;)

  6. In & Out's patties are never frozen either, neither are their french fries. In fact they use only whole, fresh potatoes, and you can see them cut them into french fries right there in the restaraunt before they are put into the oil. A double double (2 meat patties and 2 slices of cheese) with grilled onions is the bomb.

  7. i think so, or else it would be false advertising

  8. yup, never frozen. and they are square because back in the day when Wendy's first began, the founder (who had lived through the Great Depression and was really frugal) realized that more burgers could fit on the grill and cooked at the same time if they were square. Once this had set them apart from the competition, he figured, why mess with a good thing?
