  1. No. Scientologist beliefs are definately NOT real.  I mean honestly, look at who started it.  Some hick from Nebraska who was a known SCIENCE FICTION and FANTASY author.  His entire income was based on creating works of fiction and fantasy, the largest and most popular of them all being his invention of Scientology.  By 1982, his net worth was over $200,000,000!  He had three wives and 7 kids, dont u think he was in it for the money? He was certainly enjoying himself.

  2. Well yes they do really believe it but of course it isn't for real.

I would point out that only members of the church that have been in for a long time, paid lots and lots of money and are fully under cult control get to do the 'OT Levels'.  It is only when members blindly accept everything the church tells them without any critical thinking that they are ready to do the OT levels, as otherwise no one stick around for such absurdities.

In short, they are brainwashed before being told about Xenu and body thetans.

L Ron Hubbard told people he found the 'incident' by running himself through scientology processes, he says that others may have tried but they would have gone insane or even died as it was so perilous.  In reality, he popped some pills, sat down, and thought whats the most outrageous thing I can get these people to believe, then wrote it down.

SP was true, this really is a scientology belief, and you can read it in these court submitted and approved documents

  3. You should read his book... I only say that because of all the detail he puts into it, and it seems like total nonsense, but there has been a multi-billion $$ religion built around it, people buy it hook, line, and sinker.

I think a lot of popularity has to do with the self improvement angle of the teaching, and the positive spin they put on everything.  It's also the only "religion" you'll see celebrities actively promoting.  They have a h**l of a PR campaign running.  When's the last time you heard an actress talk about being a Methodist?  LOL

  4. Old Ron (PBUH), where ever he is now, must be pissing himself laughing at the gullible fools who pay good money for this old shite! It's all a load of complete and utter bollocks!
