  1. No one except God knows when the world will end so don't believe anyone who claims to know that the world will end on a certain date.  There are really a lot of morbid persons who ride on tragedies that happensaround the world and who spread such bad news out of a mistaken sense of doom or maybe just to get a thrill out of scaring people.  Just trust in the Lord above. The Bible can however give you an idea what will bring about the end of the world. Read Revelations.

  2. The Mayans couldn't even predict that their civilization would fall to the Conquistadors, who they expected to bring peace and prosperity for their civilization, not enslave them for Spanish peace and prosperity. Even the Mayan scholars have a hard time believing 2012. If your going to follow pagan religions, believe in one that actually had a successful civilization until the religion converted to Christianity, like Roman Mythology or the Norse Pantheon, not a religion that involved sacrificing the people who could have defeated the Spanish for a longer lasting fire (burn some stupid sticks you blockheads!!)

Read this for a brief history of doomsday, and how everyone will believe a lie if it is said as a joke by someone influential, has the loosest ties possible (but it is still mentioned in a so called "documentary"), or it is said in Hollywood.

  3. No, the world will not end in 2012. You hear these end of the world all the time. People have said the world would end in 1973 or 1986 or countless other dates for reasons as strange as the ones used for 2012. It is all bogus. You will see for yourself in 2013.

  4. You can stop being freaked out.  I promise you, as a trained astronomer, that no alignment, mysterious planet or any other weird happening is going to do anyone any harm!  The people who agree with your assumption fall into two categories, those who are maybe a little gullible, or not trained in the sciences,  and on the other hand, those who are making money out of the sales of books and screwball TV shows.

  5. i believe its a lie, because the chinese said that the world would end in the 1900s around 1974, or so. there have been predictions like this for centuries!!

  6. Well, alot of it is with astrology and the Mayan calendar. However, I don't beleive anything serious will happen. I am not loosing sleep over it and neither should you. If everybody though that the world was going to end in 4 years don't you think we would be making huge preparations?

  7. The short answer to your question is no. the world is not going to end in 2012. There is no scientific proof, or evidence for that matter. People think that the world is going to end because that’s when the mayan calendar ends. If this is why the world is going to end then we might as well say that the world is going to end on December 31 2009 because no calendars have been printed for 2010 yet. Its an absurd idea that has been shamelessly endorsed by yahoo, google, the news media, and even the history channel.

that’s the short answer. Here’s the long one:

There are a couple theories on how the world will supposedly end in 2012. I will give you examples, and shoot the ideas down for you.

The most popular idea is that planet x, is going to come to the earth and block the sunlight. First of all, it is not “the planet x” it’s “a planet x”. planet x is a generalized term that caught on a couple hundred years ago that was used to describe unknown planets of our solar system. Neptune was once a planet x. astronomers calculated that the orbital period of Uranus was affected by another object, probably a planet, that was beyond Uranus. They calculated the orbital period of this planet x, and found where it would be at a specific time. They saw the planet, and it was no longer considered planet x. it got its name- Neptune. Scientists miscalculated the orbital period of Neptune being affected by another planet, but by chance their miscalculations revealed Pluto. This icy world was also considered planet x, and was first seen in 1930. It was considered a planet until 2006 when it was demoted to a dwarf planet, and now a plutoid. Sedna, quaour, eris, and ceris were all considered planet x’s, and were eventually classified as plutoids.

Now that you know the true definition of a planet x, lets talk about the scientific improbabilities of a planet x that is going to travel all the way to the earth. First of all, I have gone to college, and received a PhD in astronomy and astrophysics and I have never heard of nibiru. According to recent data, there may be another planet larger than earth lying in the kupiter belt. this planet would have to be more than 5 light years away. So if it were to suddenly travel at light speed, the fastest possible speed an object can achieve, it would take the planet 5 years to get here. 2012 is less than 4 years away. Besides the mathematic problems, there are scientific problems too. First of all, there is no force that would make the planet travel at light speed. Second, it would have to get through the beatings of countless asteroids, and the gravitational pull of the four gas giants of the outer solar system - Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter. I wouldn’t be surprised if it became a moon of one of those planets on its way. Anyway, if it did get through the gas giants, it has to get through another asteroid belt, as well as mars. It will most likely be shot into outer space, or into the sun where it will burn up. If it did manage, by some miracle, to get in front of the earth, it would be in a different gravitational shell. It would be closer, which means it will orbit the sun faster than the earth, therefore it will move away from us. So that’s not going to happen.

Another theory is about the asteroid. Its going to hit earth or whatever. Here’s why it won’t work: the asteroid has to take the same path to get to the earth as planet x, but it is even smaller, and will take more of a beating. If it got through everything, it would just crash into our moon probably. If it did come to earth, the atmosphere would burn it up so much that there would probably be nothing left for it to hit earth.

All other theories are just as absurd. Nothing is going to happen in 2012, except for the same things that could happen any other year.

  8. This is known to not be true.  Please stop worrying.

  9. Hi!

"Is what they say true?"  The answer is almost always a flat

"No." It almost NEVER true. My Dad always said,

"Believe nothing of what you read, and only half of what you see."

    It works pretty well.

As there is nothing you -or anyone else- could do about it, worry is pointless.

It will also ruin the next four years of your life, which you will never get back.

That one, "people say", happens to be correct.

Go directly to Erica S's answer. She knows what she is talking about.

Then read 'Gramma might know'.  She will also make you feel much, much better.

Then, email the young woman who answered who is just as afraid as you are, and tell her the answers from those two.

There. Now do you feel better? (I sure do!)   }:>

  10. No, Honey, the world doesn't end simply because that's what some rumor says.  I was younger when the moon was in the seventh house and Jupiter aligned with Mars...That was supposed to welcome in a time peace and love.

Prediction, astrology, cult knowledge aside...I think that the world will fizzle out someday, due to misuse, abuse, ignorance and simply being too late to fix things.

If we're gone in 2012, it will be a nuclear war, not stars that end things.

  11. That is complete and utter rubbish.  Totally ridiculous.  Fear-mongerers have been predicting the apocalyps for literally thousands of years.  It has never happened yet.

  12. I have a theory about this;

1)read;166moons Q on the Large Hadron Collide.

That were all going to get sucked in to a black hole when they turn on the particle accelerator. duster #1

    2) Apparently bees are dying and not returning to the hive therefore the queen bee of that hive dies. If the bees stop pollinating the flowers/ plants we don''t get are crops the livestock doesn't get It's food we start to suffer from food starvation due to lack of meat/crops. duster #2.

Two valid EOT World reasons, which could trigger a catastrophe however, I think in reality an huge natural duster may happen like a dozen volcanoes erupt at the SAME time or something that may cause human suffering it may be TEOTW to some but not all.

  13. i dont think so but its scaring the **** outta me.

so im not gonna sleep at all on the 20/12/12 or the 21/12/12 cause apparently the world will end on the 21st of December 2012 but i think its a whole load of s**t.

  14. Asked the numerous people who asked a similar question about the year 2000.  On second thoughts, you probably won't be able to.  Despite lots of people having asked that in 1999, nobody now would be likely to admit to it.

    <<Its kind of freaking>>

That's your problem.  Don't allow yourself to be freaked by shadows that aren't even there.

  15. so what if the planets align? we are not a primitive tribe anymore that's afraid of eclipses. it's gonna be alright

  16. The theory is that some other kind of lifeform billions of years ahead of us in technology--like aliens-- left crystal skulls on our planet. Mainly 13 of them. Of course, there are other ones. Just 13 main ones. And that if those special 13 skulls aren't united, they will completely destroy the world. Don't worry, it's not true. They said that in the year 2000 that there would be absolutely no food or water left on the earth but, it is 2008 and there's still a lot of food at my house. Oh yeah, they say Doomsday is December 21 2012.

  17. I agree with the guy above, but I heard they were13  crystal balls, or was it 14.
