Whataburger started in Texas but they have them other places. I do believe they are only really in the South and I don't think they have them in Cali.

Sonic is pretty much the same way. I have friends in Cali that are obsessed with Sonic.

I looked at the Whataburger website and they are in:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisanna, Mississipi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas
