  1. black holds and retains heat much more than white, thats why black cars heat up quicker inside, thats why people wear white in summer time.

  2. THINK OF BACK IN THE OLD DAYS THE MEN WHO WORKED WORE BLACK RAGS ON THEIR HEAD AND LOOK IT NOW DAYS THEY STILL DO

  3. your question makes no sense.  in respect to heat, what do you mean by "better"  white reflects heat while black absorbs it, so i don't know which you think is "better"

  4. As you probably understand already, we only see red objects as red because red objects absorb all other colours of the spectrum but reflect red, same for green - which reflects green but absorbs all others - and blue etc.

Black occurs when it absorbs all the colours of light, reflecting none; white happens when all the colours of light are reflected and none absorbed.

As black absorbs all colours of light, it is better for retaining heat, whereas white retains relatively little.

Does this help at all? =D

  5. That depends on what you would like the heat to do; if you want to be warmer, black is better because it absorbs more of the energy.  Cooler?  white's the way to go because it reflects more energy away than black.
