  1. Wind is basically movement of air. air has some weight (meaning the weight of oxygen, nitrogen, co2 and other gases) but i dont think it is possible to calculate weight of wind. however, it is possible to calculate weight of air in a basketball :-)

  2. Wind is air so the answer is no. But wind certainly carries a force of some kind

  3. My answer is NO

  4. No.

  5. Yes, as air constitutes particles and many elements which has got weight. So the answer is definitely Yes and minimum weight will depend upon the above mentioned particles and elements. So, depending upon them its weight will keep on fluctuating.

  6. wind has no weight but has power.........

  7. No, the wind has not a weight. the wind is blowing around us and we can not check the weight of blowing thing.

  8. Wind is the flow of air or other gases that compose an atmosphere (including, but not limited to, the Earth's).It occurs as air is heated by the Sun and thus rises. Cool air then rushes to occupy the area from which the hot air has just moved. It could be loosely classed as a convection current.

    Wind can not be wighed. However, the Beaufort wind force scale is an empirical measure for describing wind speed based mainly on observed sea conditions.

    Wind direction is reported by the direction from which it originates. For example, a northerly wind blows from the north to the south.

    Local sensing techniques:

        * Anemometer (measures wind speed, either directly, e.g. with rotating cups, or indirectly, e.g. via pressure differences or the propagation speed of ultrasound signals)

        * Rawinsonde (GPS-based wind measurement is performed by the probe)

        * Weather balloon (passive measurement, balloon position is tracked from the ground visually or via radar; wind profile is computed from drift rate and the theoretical speed of ascent)

        * Weather vane (used to indicate wind direction)

        * Windsock (primarily used to indicate wind direction, may also be used to estimate wind speed by its angle)

        * Pitot tubes

    Remote sensing techniques:

        * SODAR

        * Doppler LIDARs and RADARs can measure the Doppler shift of electromagnetic radiation scattered or reflected off suspended aerosols or molecules. This measurement can be directly related to wind velocity.

        * Radiometers and radars can be used to measure the surface roughness of the ocean from space or airplanes. This measurement can be used to estimate wind velocity close to the sea surface over oceans.

  9. WIND DOES NOT HAS WEIGHT BUT IT HAS PRESSURE

    AIR HAS WEIGHT.

  10. no wind is measured in g's(g-forces) and mph's

    its not heavy, its fast, or strong.

    plus, wind is not a solid object. its air,

  11. Air has a density, which is weight per unit volume.  Moving air (wind) has kinetic energy that can be transferred to an object (as a force) that the wind blows on, and that is proportional to the area that the wind acts on, and the square of the speed of the wind.  If the force is enough to make the object move, it will.

  12. Well, Oxygen has an atomic weight of 15.999, which would make wind have quite alot more weight, depending on the breeze.

  13. wind has no weight, but the movement of the wind can create a force, which we use to generate energy.

  14. Yes,it does .You can feel it when it is blowing fast. You can even measure it. If you weigh a big baloon first empty and then filled up with air ,you will see the difference.

  15. No it doesn't have weight. But it has some force that we could feel.

  16. WInd is flow of air & air  has weight. Any gaseous substance has weight.
