  1. mmmmmmm!

    I am thinking!

It seems to be a lost art!

It could be patronizing or the opposite!

    It could be flirting.

It could be a cinder in ones eye!

Only the one who winks knows the intent!

The one who takes notice of the wink,

    can only  wonder and guess!

  2. No... never.

  3. Depends who is doing it and why.  I don't mind if it is a big handsome man!!

  4. no its a sexual come on everytime...

  5. Nah..I like a cheeky wink ;-)

  6. sometimes it is

  7. I never thought of it that way, but it could seem like that to women if a guy winks at them. Usually when a guy winks at me I'll feel like rolling my eyes, but if you know the person it might be nice. Paris Hilton winks at people. What is that about? My dad used to wink at me when I was a kid. I think that was because he thought I was cute. It really depends on the situation and the people involved. If you wink at a girl, I would make sure you do it as her equal, like the sharing a joke scenario or to show mutual understanding, not to imply she's attractive, or it might turn her off and offend her.

  8. nope.

seems my friend we the only ones asking and giveing on the subject.

    keep up the work.

  9. no its a sharing thing a friendly or flirty bit of body

    language

  10. It is friendly and saucy.

Why does this come under parapsychology?

  11. patronizing what

  12. I don't think so, I quite like being winked at, makes me feel special.

  13. No not at all.  I think winking depending on who is doing it to whom. It could be flirting or jesting with someone.  If I was playing a joke on someone, and a third party entered the conversation, I might wink at them to let them know, I'm just joking.  However if someone winked at me, in another locations, say at a bar, I would presume they were flirting with me.  Regardless of the two scenarios, neither would I call patronizing.

  14. It is completely and totally patronising. totally Totally TOTALLY! Sure there are the issues of if you are really flirting, or if you know the person, but if you don't know the person, what the c**p are you winking for? Especially from middle-aged men, it annoys me when young men do it, but middle-aged men....Oooooh... That is THE worst. I really can't stand middle-aged men who wink and call me "honey"... sorry, you really struck a nerve with me....oh, and out of curiosity, what does this have to do with parapsychology?

  15. You really shouldn't be worrying your tiny little brain about such things. Stick to to much easier things, things that you're actually good at ;-)

  16. I find it is sometimes if someone is saying, 'god look how much weight you've lost' 'wink, wink'

on the other hand if someone says 'yes do what you feel like doing, if you want to go shopping - you do it' 'wink, wink' this kind of wink is more reassuring then patronising!!

so depends on the whole situation/person!

    wink!! wink!!

  17. That completely and utterly depends on when you do it.

  18. no, winking is a quiet casual way of personally giving a flurt

  19. it depends entirely upon the intentions of the winker

  20. Winking is disgusting - offenders should be shot.....

  21. can be confusing when you dont know why someone is winking at you.is it friendly, flirty, sympathy, including you??

  22. It is like any other indicator. It depends on the accompanying gestures. It can be patronizing when it includes a smirk.. It can be inclusive when it is accompanied with raised eyebrows and a nod. Inviting or  suggestive when used along with a come hither smile and raised chin.or a signal of nervousness with darting or averted eyes.

Nudge Nudge  Know what I mean?

  23. Totally depends on whether youre being a slimey git or not. What you thinking when you wink?!

  24. No...it sort of makes someone feel like they're on the same level with you, like you have a private joke that's shared with them, so I don't think it is patronising. x
