My son spends hours and hours every day playing. He says it's social and that he's chatting with his friends, but they aren't people he really knows so I wonder how healthy it is. He's never able to just walk away it's alway 'in a minute' 'just fighting a whirling vortex' or some other excuse. Should I be concerned?

  1. for me personally no. i am 14 years old and me friends recommended me to play it. I bought it the first time and played it for about 15 mins and got so bored of it. Then after a few months I decided to give it another go. Same thing happened, I got so bored and decided to quit.

So altogether I spent about $120 on the game and only played for a total of 1 hour. A waste of money huh?

  2. Yes it is addicting. I'm 17 and i've been playing it for almost 3 years now. Upon making a new character, all you want to do is level that character up. Of course, it does tend to get boring sometimes but you'll go start back to playing it within 3 days

  3. It kindof is, if you're concerned WoW comes with parental controls which I think can limit the amount of time your son plays it. Look in the manual if you can find it P:

  4. You have no reason to be concerned. That's normal with teenagers and those online games. Luckily it is somewhat social. There's nothing to worry about unless he refuses to do anything else.
