Is writing a good hobby to get into?

I'm 15, and I like to write stories. I also play a lot of sports, so its not like I'm sitting in my house all day just writing. But is writing a good hobby? What are your opinions on teenagers writing stories/books?

Very much so. Always do what you love. But don't expect to get rich off of writing. I know a lot of great writers, and none of us are rich. But it is indeed fulfilling, especially when you can find a home for your work.

Writings a great hobby (of course not when you're staying house all day every day to write a story)! You can write stories and play sports at the same time. My advice- start writing!

its fun,, you would be amazed at how creatice you can be when you write.. sometimes i just write and see what comes out... i have written tons of stories and some of them are pretty good... in my own humble opinion...

If you like to write then go for it.  It doesn't matter whether you're good or bad - that's what editors are for.  Its fun and it helps you let go of everything.  Just make sure you take a break or you'll get really tired.  My friend is 13 and she already wrote and published a book.  Plus it really helps with school.  Anyways I think it's a great idea to write as a hobby.  But it's up to you.  Good luck!
