Is writing a semi-formal letter by hand a bad thing?

I'm writing a letter to a supermarket to ask permission to use their car park for a fundraising car wash and my printer is broken so i want a write it by hand instead.

Is this a bad idea?

  1. It should be fine to do so, but typing a letter is more common today.  Mail the letter, and call the manager about 3-4 days after you mailed the letter.  I'll warn you tho.  Supermarkets don't treat people very well.  I don't know why, but they're careless and rude.  I applied for numerous jobs at supermarket in the past, and I was treated like c**p.  But goodluck.


  2. Write neat and I think the handwritten letter is a much more personal touch. Follow-up with a phone call to the store manager.  Hope they say yes!

  3. hand writing a letter has become a lost art and I say go for it!
