Is www.chenessinc.com a good site to buy a katana?

I want to buy a real katana that's durable and well made but I'm not planning on using it to cut or anything.Will www.chenessinc.com do the job?

Depends on the katana you buy. The 9260 spring steel scilycon blades are top knotch for cutting, and durability. Also there 1060 and 1045 carbon steel katanas look decent, but i've never tryed them out. If you want, you can go on youtube and see the 9260's in action. Just punch in "9260 spring steel katana" (without quotes) on youtube to get a demonstration of them. I only reccomend cheness if your planning on cutting with it though. I would go for a better balenced katana from hanwei or bugei for kata practice or display. Also if your doing iaido, get one with a bo-hi (groove), it lets you know when you make a bad draw. Also be very careful with any katana, well made or not. There all just as dangerous. I don't reccomend you go swinging it around unless you have formal training.
