Is xbox live ba for your internet connection and why. does it slow it down or something?

i have a xbox360 and my mum thninks that it slows down our internet

It will be slightly slower yes, but what speed is your internet? Even when we were on 2mb internet I didn't notice a slowdown when playing games over xbox live.

If you're downloading demos etc from the marketplace then it will slow the internet down considerably more.

If she's that bothered tell her to buy a decent router with QoS ;)

If you have a wired connection than yes. When you have multiple computers on the internet at one the internet is always slower.

Its not bad for ur internet, but it could slow it down. I mean all the computers and xbox are connected to ur network sharing the bandwith. If u do something like start downloading trough xbox live  then yes while downloading ur internet will slow down. But that is the same if u had another computer connected to the network. So just download your stuff when ur mom is not using the pc.
