that i have heard the rivalry with sony xbox have not been able to keep up ... yes i have to heard the rumor that xbox live will be free to :) ...

but it will only be silver which means no demo downloads :( ...

but who cares free online gaming for exsample COD4! ... woop lol ...

apparently this will be decided over the next 2months as xbox 360 is now hitting its peak! ...

not in a life time microsoft is cheap and suck money out of their customers. they make you pay for stuff like wireless online and HD power. playstaton has all that included. so for everything you buy for 360 ends up more then the price of the ps3.

Nothing's been announced, except that the cross platform games (like Shadowrun, which PC and 360 players can play together) are free to play online. All the rest require a gold membership, which is $50 a year.

I don't think so, that's because Microsoft made LIVE a great online service for Xbox gaming. So it is evident that they would want some money for usage of their service. It is real unlikely that LIVE would be free for the rest of its console life. If the original Xbox's LIVE wasn't free, then it would make sense if they continue to make you pay for service for the Xbox 360.

speed. the when i bought my xbox it came with a year free and i paid 400 dollars. the playstation happened to be 600 dollars and crappy

Xbox Live is only free if you want silver which means you can talk to others and have Friends but not play games with them. 1 year of xbox Live is 59.99 the last time i checked
