Is xbox live going to become free like psn,and wii?

I was wondering if xbox live was going to become free of charge. I'm getting a 20gb xbox 360 pro tomorrow and I just want to know because play station network basically has everything the xbox live has so whats the point in that 50$.

Well XBL is very different from the PSN. From my experience XBL is so much better than the PSN, in terms of keeping in touch with friends, and playing with them. I feel that XBL is worth the subscription fee, and nothing has been said about it going free

its never gonna be free cuz microsoft makes all of its money from xboxlive and games

xboxlive has better online gameplay, way better than wii and ps3

u can download stuff like themes and demos for free with silver version

the 360 comes with a free one month trial

no it isn't. but that is actually a good thing. although the wii's and PlayStation's online is free, it is not nearly as good. you get what you pay for. my friend has a ps3 and his crashes all the time when he is online and it is very glitchy and doesn't have nearly as much to offer. trust me, stick with xbox.
