Some one sent me an e-mail stating that yahoo would start charging for messenger in August. I think it is a lie,

I received that e-mail too also the same thing about MSN messenger. It's just a hoax. Some people don't have anything better to do with their time I guess.

go logical it is better to ask yahoo on yahoo customer care to get fully satisfied true answer dont ever pertain to fraud emails.

I don't think so. cuz they will lose there costamers since they start taking money. you think that yahoo is not benefitting from the messenger service but it provide alot of money for them indirectly, either by marketting or other stuff.

Not a chance. Yahoo! Messenger is OK, but it is just another IM service. There are too many high quality free IM alternatives, including the IM system that started it all- ICQ.

and they told you to send it to everyone in you contact's list right?

then they will somehow trace all thos e mails to start sending spam, thanks to all those innocents who believed the lie
