  1. I have never heard of "decorative yeast ball",  but  real yeast is nutritious and full of protein and good for you. Better find out what it is make of first or get your sister to the nearest hospital.

  2. It depends whether it's Baker's or Brewer's yeast. From what I could find, the worst that may happen is that she could get a lot of gas, and feel very bloated for a while.

    Here's some info. about it.

"Many people have had very unpleasant experiences trying to eat living bakers yeast and so use brewers yeast instead. But brewers yeast is cooked and the proteins it contains are not nearly as assimilable as those in raw yeast. Raw yeast is so powerful, it feels like pep pills!

It takes a special technique to eat raw yeast because in the stomach and intestines the yeast does the job it is supposed to do: convert sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide gas. The entire digestive tract then bloats with gas and the person will feel very uncomfortable for some time."

  3. It is not poisonous but can make you very uncomfortable and even sick if you are trying to eat raw yeast.  Yeast can cause infections on the body if found in places that are warm and moist so that the yeast begins to grow.  Medication is then needed to kill the yeast infection.  I would not recommend eating plain yeast.  You will get bloated and likely throw up.

  4. I don't know what a decorative yeast ball is.  The yeast that is used to make bread rise is not poisonous, but it may create a large amount of gas in her stomach and digestive tract.  There are different varieties of yeasts, some of which cause yeast infection.  There is also a yeast, Candida Albicans, which causes illness that can often go undiagnosed for years.

It wouldn't hurt to ask a doctor about it.
