Is yogurt really needed in this recipe?

If so, are there any substitutes I could use, and what is the yogurt for?

  1. Yes, it will be to give it moisture, otherwise it will be really dry


  2. The yogurt is adding moisture and flavor ........you could probably use sour cream

  3. Im pretty sure it is jsut used for the structure of the cake tio hold it up and give it shape and support, but to use something else can bring up the cals and make it "less" healthy so if u wanna do that i am sure u can use liek pumpkin in a can or buttermilk :) gl

  4. Yes. It is needed for texture and consistency. It will help it to make it moister and smoother.

  5. yes it is needed.  I provides the moisture and makes it less dense.  You can use sour cream if you like!

    It looks great by the way.

  6. You could use sour cream or mix cream cheese and milk together.

    It will make the cake moist.
