My GP never seems to take me seriously. She's always quite patronising and disinterested. I now have a problem which needs attention, but I am reluctant to go there as I hate being treated as some kind of neurotic time waster. I hardly ever go to the doctors and never waste their time, but I still feel like a nuisance.
Why do they treat you like a moron? I'm a qualified nurse - do you think that this puts them off? Most of the doctors in the Practice are like this.
Is unpleasantness a characteristic of GPs and if so, how to overcome it?
I have taken to treating myself for most things, but do struggle sometimes.
