My 4 month old baby starting to like tummy time and rolling over (still one way).

But everytime she's on tummy or rolling over, she spit up.

I wait till 2-3 hours after feeding, she still spit up!

Should I avoid the tummy time at all?

  1. No! Don't avoid tummy time, it'll help her develop her mobility. My baby spit up every time I gave her tummy time, I think it's fairly normal. She'll stop after a few weeks or months.

  2. I asked my dr this SAME question when my son was 4 months old (he was also spitting up everytime he woud sit straight up).  She said don't avoid tummy time or letting him sit straight up, the reason he was spitting up was because of the added pressure to his stomach, it was completely normal and he would grow out of it with time.  She suggested just putting him on a recieving blanket or a towel that could easily be washed afterwards instead of putting him straight on the carpet.  He is 6 months old now and doesn't spit up anymore, although he doesn't lay on his stomach a lot as he has been crawling for a month and a half.  No worries though, it should get better the more she gets used to it.

  3. My son does that too.  No, don't avoid the tummy time, because it is really good for her.

  4. My daughter did the same thing for a couple of weeks.  It's normal.  Don't avoid tummy time, it's good for the babies.  Besides once they learn to roll over, if they want on their tummies, they will get there.

  5. She did at that age its nothing don't worry about it just keep doing what you are doing she needs belly time to learn to crawl.

  6. Yes completely normal...
