Is your baby your best friend?

Question

I was thinking yesterday...

I talk to my baby more than anyone else in the world and vice versa.

She makes me laugh more than anyone else in the world, I make her laugh more than anyone else in the world.

She can always tell how I'm feeling, and cheer me up when I'm down - and vice versa.

We have little 'private jokes' that only the two of us know about.

My best friend, it seems, is an 11 month old! How about you?

I love my son but he isn't my best friend. I need more stimulation and I refuse to brand anyone as my bestfriend that drools half as much as he does. Lol.

Sorry but my bestfriend is still the same person that it was pre-pregnancy.

Awwwww that is so sweet!!  

I see where you are coming from though.  My little one is 5 months and I love him more than I ever imagined could be possible.  I love spending all day with him but he can cry the house down!

11 months old is such a brilliant age - they are still so innocent and changing so fast but you can totally interact with them.

Your little princess is lucky to have you as a mum.  So many people struggle to fit into motherhood - like myself  - and your post has made me really aware of how lucky I am to have my little boy.

Cute!  I know what you mean about private jokes, etc.  I love that me and my daughter have our little games that make both of us crack up laughing!  Having said that I think that my best friend is my partner.  We have been together so long (nearly 12 years!) that we just know each other inside out and we can make each other laugh with just a look, lol!

lol i know what you mean, but i think Reeces best friend is his daddy! both faces lights up when he comes home from work. its sooo great to see. knowing that you did that, making two people so happy! oh well i dont mind aslong as my wee man and big man are happy!

I know what you are talking about. ITS A BOND.. that no one can break. I have a two and half year old daughter and this is how I feel with her.. She makes me laugh so much every day and I just feel so blessed to have her.. and she knows how to make me feel better when I am sad. I know that I am really good friends with my mom aswell. I guess its a mother daughter bond.. its something awesome to have and be a part of...

Totally - both my boys are my best friends, and I theirs. It's just me and them - they both see Daddy one day a week. I don't know what I'd do without them - Life wouldn't have an awful lot of point to it!!
