Cats are cats. They don't understand what a vacuum cleaner is and after they've learned they would probably just forget because of their short-term memory span. About every SINGLE cat I know is scared of the vacuum cleaner... and I happen to own a lot of cats [8 with more coming]. Dogs are too. My dog is horrified of the vacuum cleaner, sometimes it's actually quite entertaining to watch him try to attack the giant piece of plastic as I clean! Hope that I helped!

at first my kitten was but neither of them really seem to mind it all that much.  sometimes they leave the room but they don't freak out or anything..

haha no my cats chase it all around. but my dog is terrified of it. she'll go to all lengths to get away from it. even jumping over the back of the couch haha. but she's a weimeraner. so thats in her breed to be very skiddish

No, my older cat just ignores it and my kitten dashes out and loves to chase after it.

My cat isn't afraid of the swivel sweeper I use to clean up litter in the bathroom, but he is afraid of the big Hoover vacuum I use in the rest of the house. So far, it's the ONLY thing he's ever been afraid of!
