Is your cynicism permanent? What would make you trust in "good" again?

  1. My take is that we humans have an innate need to continually aspire to the good, or the positive perception, rather than the darkness of perceived inevitability.

    We will tend not to accept the status quo in the long term.  Of course, there are temporary setbacks which only make us more determined to find the good that is just around the corner.


  2. When everyone in the world starts relying on logic and reason instead of "God's divine wrath" when dealing with government, foreign relations, and our everyday lives.

    Basically, once religion fades away, or is completely removed from every single government on the face of the earth, I will begin to lose my cynicism.

    Seeing as how that day will never come, I will happily remain a cynic.
