yes my dog is smart.her name is missy and she is a shetland sheepdog (hence, my name) but since she is only 5 months old she doesn't know many tricks, except:

stay (for like, 10 seconds, were working on it)

where's my puppy (that's her come, she comes at those words. lol)

shoe (she has toy shoes' and picks them up)

bone (same as shoe)

u want a treat (she comes and gets her treat)

I have a siberian husky and yes he's very smart. Only been trained a few tricks though. His verbal howling though is very good as if he DOESN'T want to do something he will tell us "No" "I don't want to" "Fight!" "Play with me" "I want outside" "I want food" and these last tthree are usually accompanied by "Now!" and several other things. If you don't believe me, husky's vocal abilities are almost to that of a cat's, and you can find several of them saying words on youtube. :D  

He knows how to roll down automatic car windows, so we have to lock them, then he knows how to open doors and screen doors. He also as learned to punch, oddly as he will pull up his pay, curl his claws under like when he's trying to pull something and lauch the paw forward in an effective punch. He knows how to find his bones when we are gone, take them out of the package pick a favorite and put the BACK into the package when we scold him. XD He's a devil dog I swear. His trickas are all purely evil. He answers to Satan, Lucifer and Diablo. He will NOT answer to his actual name Bandit but will however turn one ear to your direction in obvious ignorance. And he LOVES to argue.

Max qualifies as nuclear genius on the dog level.

He knows roughly 180-200 "tricks", but I don't like the term "tricks". A trick is "roll over" or "beg", he knows WAY past that.
