  1. i spilt a big cup of tea on top of my phone. It didnt work for a few days, then when it did, the buttons didnt work. I left it in a warm dry place for about 4 days and it was fine. Good luck with it! oh, and remember to remove your sim card, in case it get damaged. That way, if your phone breaks, youll still have all your numbers

  2. My mother dropped both of our cell phones in the lake and grabbed them real quick... they were both fried.

  3. what is your carrier/ phone model? it all depends on the phone. whether or not it can be taken apart to dry.  my sidekick 3 fell in the tub. I took it apart and towel dried it then i let it dry for about two days and it works just fine.

  4. Try these steps for water damage:

    (1) IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE BATTERY. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!

    (2) As soon as possible (preferably within 20-30 minutes). dissassemble the phone using Torx T6 screwdriver. (Get this off eBay or service depots, etc) Make an emergency trip to Sears/RadioShack/ACE/service depot/etc.

    (3) Clean/dry as much as you can, using Q-Tips

    (4) Dry the electronics components under a desk lamp on a paper towel for 24 hours.

    (5) Use a blow dryer, set on warm. Blow dry the phone. Make sure your battery and sim card are out of the phone.

    (6) Put your phone in rice for 24 hours with battery and sim card out.

    (7) Reassemble the phone

    (8) Put back together

    (9) Only now it's safe to put the battery back in.

You can also leave the battery and sim out. Leave your phone out in the sun. Let it dry

  5. Ok, it depends on your phone, you should leave it to dry before you do anything, it might be ok if you leave it for a while and try again.  Alternatively it could be broken, only time will tell.  About the number, it will depend if you saved them to your sim card or your phone, that would have been a setting available on your phone.

    Hope your phone is ok.

  6. 2 months after i got my first cellphone, it accidentally went through the wash. I thought it was gone forever but after removing the battery and letting the phone sit for a week, it came back to life. It still had some water in the screen but after a month it went away and worked perfectly for the next 2 years.

But i dont think that your numbers are gone. Maybe there is still water in your phone that is affecting the charging.

  7. Hey

! I understand your pain! LOL! Take the phone apart as in remove the parts you can remove and lay it in the sun. It should work but the screen may not be very clear.

  8. i was river rafting, and my dad fell out of the raft.  his cell was in his pocket, and not in a baggie or anything.  for the next few days the left half of the keys didn't work.  then, it dried out and it worked completely fine.  that was a month ago, and his phone still works.  so, wait a few days, and maybe it'll be okay.

  9. most likely. but you can sell them on Ebay and u will get a good moneys worth depending on what kind of phone it is. people usually buy it for parts..

oh yeah... and one time i dropped my phone in the toilet and it didnt work for a while but i took out the battery n sim card and left it under the lamp for a couple hours because i read online that it works. im not sure how long i left it there for, but just try maybe 2 hours and make sure its not too hot, just needs warmth.

    GOOD LUCK!

  10. you should call you phone company, but i think ur phone is done with! when i switched phones the people moved my contacts from my old phone to my new one
