  1. no, money is a means to an end.

I no longer fight people on the highways to chase an extra dollar.

  2. Me personally... NO!!! I have seen way to many people who value that greatly in the rating to their importance and as long as they were doing fairly well they were feeling great about themselves because they actually felt important but then several of them lost their jobs do to company cut backs or shutting down and these people just about let this way of thinking destroy them because now they felt worthless and unimportant....I do not judge others or myself by the standard of wealth for none of us really have total control over that but rather I judge them on their honesty, hard work, and the way that they treat others..............These things one does have total control over and can not be taken away......

  3. -I believe it's disingenuous to say that social class doesn't affect a person. Our entire country is divided by class. Less to 5% of U.S. citizens move out of the class they were born into. That's quite remarkable when you think about it.

-The class we are born into defines us as a person. The way we look at our finances, our family, religion, how we eat, dress ourselves, and spend our free time. Our class even causes people to look a politics and the rest of the world in a particular way.

-Now I know that there are always exceptions. There's PhDs that live in ghettos, and there are high school drop outs that live in the Valley. However, social class is probably the most important factor in shaping an individual's character, psychologically, physically, and emotionally. It's just some people either aren’t aware of this fact, or they don't want to think about it.

  4. What wealth?

The only aspect of those that is is my complete and utter lack of income. This is a very real problem to me.

But Wealth (capital W) is not at all important to me.

Social class? I just don't want to be really poor, because poverty sucks.

  5. social class does not matter much as far as wealth well it would be nice not to worry about it paying bills and things not really wealthy

  6. Social class and wealth does matter to me, I would not enjoy being poor, since I would not have as much free time as I probalby would if I was richer (since some have jobs that do not require you to do a meanial task for many hours).  I am fine being well off, as in being able to afford a nice house in a nice neighborhood, and being able to enjoy myself (being able to do my hobby, the expesive warhammer 40,000 and buying things like a giant trampoline and swingset for my to play on, yes I will do this when I'm older).

Also, being in a higher social class means I will have access to more favourable people, usually, though I will not deny that there are upper class jerks (some of the new money).  The more favourable the person, the better of an influence they will be for me and my kids, if I get any.

  7. No. I'm not that shallow.

  8. No, I am secure enough of a person to know that I am a good human being.  I work my butt off as a housekeeper every day. I do not make lots of money obviously, and I clean toilets and peoples leftovers for a living.  But I am a single mom of two boys who is supporting my kids and I am doing the best I can.  I love my kids and myself, and we are all happy and my kids have food on the table.  My kids are not born with a silver spoon in their mouths and as they become adults they will look back and know that if you want to enjoy life and live healthy work for it and even if you are a garbage collecter you can still be happy knowing you made a decent days work at the end of your day and be proud of who you are!!
