Is your whole family into football?

I was raised in Boston and we’re die hard sports fans in general, however, my family stuck with mainly football. We are BIG into football (yes the Pats) so every grandma, grandpa, aunt, uncle, cousin, brother and sister would crouch around the TV hooting and hollering.

I always hear so many women say how much they hate football season. So I have to ask….

Is your entire family into sports? Into football? Were you raised that way?

And men, does your wife enjoy football or do they dread the season each time it rolls around?? Do you plan to raise your children, boy or girl, to follow your footsteps??

Just curious how some of you ended up die hard football fans…..

  1. Nope, just me. And my mom likes football too

  2. Nope, not my whole family, but I'm lucky to have a wife who loves it just as much as I do.

  3. I started watching college football with my great aunt, back in the 70's.  I now have 2 grown sons, and the 3 of us are season ticket holders (Chargers).  My ex husband (one of the reasons he is an ex!) didn't like sports at all!

We have gone to college football, pro baseball, pro basketball, and pro hockey games too!

My mom preferred sports over my dad.

  4. I'm a diehard football fans for over 30 years.  I married my first husband at 19 years old and spent each Sunday alone.  So I decided, either I would find my own thing to do on Sundays, or have him teach me the ins and outs of football.  So, he did.

Over 30 years and I still love my Cowboys.  My father was/is a musician and my 2 younger brothers were as well.  Our school didn't have football, we had a great soccer team (small country school).  I was a soccer cheerleader so I've always been into sports, although my mother and father weren't.

My current husband of 20 years likes football but not the extent that my 15 year old son (who is in his 6th season of football) and I do.  When the 'boys are on, everyone in the house better just leave us alone!  And we live near Philly so we have a lot of razzing from the local Eagles fans.

I have 3 boys and 1 girl.  My boy/girl twins are 24.  My son is an Eagles fan, daughter is a Cowboys fan.  My 2 youngest boys are 15 and 12.  Both are Cowboys fan.  My husband likes either the Steelers or Packers but doesn't really care if football is on.

Oh and by the way... my goal is to be kicked out of the stadium where my 15 year old plays high school football by the time he graduates for being the most rowdy mom there!  LOL!

    Great question!

  5. My ENTIRE family is in the NFL. yelling at the tv, throwing stuff, etc... i was never much into the NFL. it was always too corporate for me. i would play and follow baseball in the summer and hockey in the winter. i still am that way.

i would always get laughed at bc i didnt like the NFL and would rather watch a hockey game instead of the NFL.

to each their own i reckon...

The g/f also loves hockey and dislikes the NFL

    GO PENS!

  6. the only one who doesnt like it is my mom. i'm a woman who can talk football with the best of them. i have 3 stepsisters and two of them really get into it. my brother loves it. and stepdad too. so yes, for the most part, we are a family of football nuts.

  7. Im from Europe Ukraine

My dad hates football american but love soccers

    I love football and basketball

My mom knows nothing but that im h**l a good at basketball and other sports.

  8. I WAS RAISED IN INGLEWOOD,CALIFORNIA BUT I WAS INFLUENCEDD WITH THE DALLAS COWBOYS AT YOUNG BY MY DAD SO DIE HARD COWBOY FAN AND HALF OF MY FAMILY IS INTO FOOTBALL
