  1. My world was ruled by memories...things I wish I could have changed, things I could never have had any control over, things that I wish I could relive, things I wish I could forget...

But after the birth of my son nearly six months ago, my life is now also ruled by my hopes and dreams and expectations of the future... of HIS future.

While the past is still there, it does not cast a shadow over my future, as it once did.

    Peace :-)

  2. Honestly, my world is ruled mostly by good times. I believe it is a matter of thinking positively to do good. Goodness is not impossible to atain as long as you believe in yourself. Bad times do happen but i faced this as a balancing act to do more better. Not all in this world is given in a silver spoon anyway.

We have  a saying that " Those who remember the past are condemned to repeat". Ergo, it is within us as humans if we will be haunted by are past and never learn from it. History must be taken as cherishing the past and learning to out do better from it.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

  3. We always remember the good and tend to forget most bad with time. It's a survival thing. Our subconscience registers the bad though and brings it back when needed. Ever have a song or smell that gets you mad or upset and you don't know why?

  4. I dont let my past rule my life.

  5. No.

I try to forget about the bad and look forward for the good times.

  6. Once a relived world exist, I only live for the present . Value the precious moments of the past and grow from the unpleasant ones..And feel relived eachday. For I have been aware the time will never pass that way again in life.

  7. Not "ruled" by memories.  But I carry them in me.  Make no efforts to forget them (as if I have a choice!).

  8. A question like this, obviously originates in some backward FANTASY BOOK.

How can My World, not be ruled by the memory of past experiences and, yes.

Some of those experiences, have been very, VERY bad. However, I HAVE LEARNT FROM THOSE MEMORIES. Most of the time, with good results.

Yet,  sometimes with end results just as bad as before but, the mistake being made in another quarter.

  9. I don't want to relive the bad , but , sure like to relive the good. GOOD and BAD are needed in our memories for to be a JUDGEMENT of our lives.

  10. At the moment it does.  I just went through a terrible experience that will leave me forever changed (not the person I was before it happened).  As a result of this thing that happened another relationship is now over.  So, of coarse at the moment I am depressed... convinced that everything always ends badly for me.  But this will pass, I'll emerge a better person for it (probably) and start a new adventure that will be memories for me in the future.  I will always look back on my childhood nostagically.  I had a beautiful blessed childhood.  Never will my innocence be restored.  But still, I appreciate how much richer my relationships get with the people that were there then and are still with me now.

I am feeling very deep today.  lol

  11. Memories are only a part of my world.  I look forward to events that either I dread or hope will happen.

I hope I see my grandchildren graduate from school and start their adult lives.

I fear that computers may grow to the point that we lose control.  Moores Law has not been repealed and computers are within a couple decades of being as complex as the human brain.
