Is zalabiya supposed to be hollow inside?

is zalabiya(luqmat el qadi) supposed to be hollow inside, i have just made some from a recipe on the net and it looks like the picture but i really dont like the taste of it at all, does any1 have recipes for it?

It is just a doughnut so it should have a hole in the middle but not hollow inside.  Just type in zalabiya and take your pick of recipes.
