Is 顔は日で回って、陰を後に陥落 correct Japanese?

Can a native or fluent Japanese speaker tell me if this sentence is correct? It's supposed mean something like ""Turn your face to the sun

and the shadows fall behind you"

Kao wa hi de mawatte, kage wo ato ni kanraku.

顔は日で回って、陰を後に陥落。

It's one of Maori proverbs.

"Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you"

=太陽のほうに顔を向けろ。そうすれば、あなたのうしろに影ができる。

=taiyou no hou ni kao wo mukero. sousureba anatano ushiro ni kage ga dekiru.

kao o taiyou ni mukereba, kage ha anatano ushiro ni ochimasu.

I wonder where you came up with the translation. I put the original in a few online translators out there and found they do a much better job, at least as far as the first half is concerned.

A few tips on how to get to the right answer without relying on the machine translators:

1 Since the verb in the original is transitive, so should the japanese translation. "Mawaru" is intransitive. "Mawasu" is transitive. "Mawasu" would have been better, if not as good as "mukeru."

2. "to" should be translated as "ni" instead of "de" and there would be no problem most of the time.
