Isaac Chilemba looks forward to beat Edison Miranda – Boxing news
Isaac Chilemba, world ranked light heavyweight contender also known as the ‘Golden Boy’, will be taking on the 31-year-old Edison Miranda in a 10-round bout at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas, on Friday Night Fights.
Chilemba, who has 18 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie and 9 knockouts to his name, says he cannot wait to have his hands on his opponents, since he wants to make a statement in the USA.
The bout, between the two, which will be headlining the event, has ignited the passion within Chilemba. He expressed his excitement by saying, “I’ve traveled half way around the world to make a statement here in America. Edison Miranda doesn’t have a clue
of what he’s up against. I don’t see this fight going the distance. I have something to prove to everyone watching on ESPN. This is my opportunity to show the world what I’m made of and nothing is going to stop me from achieving my goal of becoming a world
champion. Beating Miranda gets me one step closer to a world title fight. It’s my time to shine!”
The show will be titled ‘Super Brawls’ and will be presented by Warriors Boxing and Sampson Boxing.
It is scheduled for February 3, 2012, to be held at the Dallas Events Center at the Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel, Las Vegas. The show will be televised by ESPN as part of its ESPN Friday Night Fights.
Although Chilemba is being considered the underdog for this fight since he does not have as vast experience of boxing as his opponent, his high spirit is making headlines everywhere. In a press conference today, Chilemba remarked that he wants to take on
his opponent with full fury and that he wants to make his mark in the industry starting with this fight.
He further added that his opponent is easy to defeat as he does not know what skills and tactics he has. With a confident attitude, Chilemba has impressed many around the world believing that he definitely has something special to put on offer.
However, the conclusion to his talks will come with the fight and the better man will be decided then.
