Ishe Smith looking for next fight against Darren Barker or Martin Murray – Boxing news
The American national professional boxer, Ishe ‘Sugar Shay’ Smith is very desirous if he could possibly earn his next fight in Britain in 2011.
Ishe Smith has made it clear to everyone that if he wants to fight someone, he would prefer to go against Darren Barker or Martin Murray.
Smith said, “It’s always been a dream of mine to fight in the UK, ever since my Contender days.”
Adding to this Smith said, “I would love to fight (Darren) Barker or (Martin) Murray over there. The UK has some great fans and is a great country who knows their sports.”
The British Middleweight professional boxer, Darren Barker’s next fight has been scheduled as the fight will be on July 23, 2011 at the International Centre, in Brentwood, United States. He next opponent for the European Boxing Union’s Middleweight title
could not be decided yet.
However, the other contender against whom Smith wants to go is Martin Murray. Murray is the British professional Middleweight and Super Middleweight boxer, who has been the ABA Welterweight Champion during his amateur boxing career in 2004.
However, the 28-year-old British boxer has settled down with Nick Blackwell as his next possible opponent to fight with. Both the fighters will be face to face on June 18, 2011 for the BBBofC British Middleweight, WBA Inter-Continental Middleweight and Commonwealth
Middleweight titles at the Robin Park Center in Lancashire, United Kingdom.
Currently, both the fighters have been engaged but Smith can fulfil his desire if he decides to go against another British fighter.
The 32-year-old, Light Middleweight Champion has been outstanding since his first-ever professional bout which he fought against Jose Meraz in 2000 at the Grand Casino in Tunica, United States.
Sugar Shay fought 24 of his total fights of which he won 21 including 9 knockout wins with 5 losses and no draw in his professional boxing career.
Smith’s next opponent is still undecided whoever it is, the fight should be interesting and entertaining one for the boxing fans.
